The Plague Spreads

Conor pulled out a chair, sat down by Spencer, straightened his tie, and Judge Bryne, sitting across the table, grunted, ‘You’re a walking plague.’

‘Could you put a little meat on that bone?’

‘You look at a politician and see a teenage boy and now Spencer’s doing it too.’

‘Which politician?’

A federal investigator had told Fox News, ‘I have seen the emails’ – 44,053 emails – ‘between Seth Rich and Wikileaks,’ then Sean Hannity interviewed a retired Washington detective who confirmed Rich, a twenty-seven-year-old Democratic National Committee staffer, had leaked emails before he was shot in the back twice at four o’clock in the morning, walking home from a bar.

The Washington police had called it a botched robbery but Hannity wasn’t buying it – he’d tweeted, If Seth was Wiki source, No Trump/Russia collusion.

Then the bottom fell out of the bucket.

The detective told another network he’d only said Rich had leaked the emails because that’s what a Fox News reporter had told him. Fox’s other source (the unnamed federal investigator) vanished into thin air and Fox News retracted the story.

But not Hannity. I retracted nothing, he declared on his radio show and, then, a New Zealand internet huckster said he had the proof Hannity needed and Hannity tweeted, Wow. Please read ASAP.

But it turned out to be just another hustle.

That night on Fox News Hannity said he was done with the Seth Rich story. But, then, he tweeted: ‘Ok TO BE CLEAR, I am closer to the truth than ever. Not only am I not stopping, I am working harder.’ He was still set on proving Democrats leaked emails, Democrats killed Seth Rich and the Washington police, the FBI and CIA covered it up.

‘And you’re blaming me for spreading the plague?’ Conor said.
