How Trump’s Going to Conquer Ambivalence

Years ago a political savant told me, There’re three types of elections: One, the election where you like both candidates and vote for the one you like most. Two, the election where you like one candidate and dislike the other – that one’s easy, you vote for the candidate you like. Three, the election where you dislike both candidates – and vote for the one you dislike least.

That third type of election was rare back then. It barely ever happened. But these days it happens all the time. In 2016, Democrats loved Hillary, Republicans loved Trump, and the Independents disliked both. Hobbled by ambivalence those Independents tilted, first, one way then the other or simply sat frozen in place – until, at the very end of the election, they decided they disliked Hillary most.

This election Independents look at Trump and groan then look at Biden and grimace – once, again, they’re trapped by ambivalence.

So how does Trump conquer ambivalence?

He has a plan and it starts with senility…

To be continued…
