Congressman George Holding richly deserves a second blog-whacking for this.
He wrote a letter to the N&O criticizing President Obama for spending tax money to go to Africa. (Why didn’t he criticize the President’s trip to Europe?)
Holding wrote: “We need to rein in government spending – and this trip shows a lack of judgment for when and where to make cuts.”
I refer you to my blog of June 5, “George Holding’s Hypocrisy,” which noted that, after running on a platform of “cut spending now,” the Congressman immediately availed himself of the congressional franking privilege. Yes, mailings at taxpayers’ expense.
To paraphrase the Congressman: ““We need to rein in government spending – and this shows a lack of judgment for when and where to make cuts.”
And a lack of judgment for when and where to cast stones.
