The newspaper story had dozens of photographs – working men holding shovels, digging up mass graves: One photo showed broken white bone fragments lying in black dirt, another a severed hand, another a mound of skulls with single bullet holes in the back, shot execution style by Putin’s soldiers.
Workers dug up bodies of 245 women and children in another grave, found bodies with broken fingers, fingernails pulled out, ears cut off in a torture chamber, in a cellar found a naked woman, legs spread, strapped to a chair, shot in the head after she was raped.
I handed the photographs to a friend – staring at them he grunted, “Putin’d kill us, too.” That’s the reason to send Ukraine tanks and guns.
