Gone a Little Haywire
Terrorism may just turn out to be the death-knell of political correctness.
The day after the California attacks the Attorney General announced “her greatest” fear isn’t more attacks – it’s ‘hate speech’ against Muslims.
That landed with a thud.
Then Loretta Lynch went on to explain that the attacks had also created “a wonderful opportunity… to really make significant change” by passing new gun control laws.
That lit up the New York Times editorial board which chimed in, ‘Amen.’
Now, it’s a fact there are upstanding Muslim Americans. But it’s also a hard fact 99% of the terrorists killing Americans (and Frenchmen and Russians) are Muslims. And, even if that fact doesn’t fit the straight jacket of political correctness, ignoring it and throwing up her hands and saying, Oh, my God, this is terrible – it’s going to lead to more hate speech – well, what kind of sense does that make?
