Mitt Romney is about to come unglued because President Obama ordered the operation that killed bin Laden.
First Romney said “even Jimmy Carter” would have ordered the raid. Then he said “any thinking American” would have.
Presumably, that explains why President Bush didn’t.
Of course, Romney overlooks the fact that some military commanders wanted a bombing raid instead of the SEAL operation. Apparently, they aren’t “thinking Americans.”
Let’s get real. Can you imagine what kind of victory lap W would be taking today if he had ordered the raid? He would dress up in SEAL gear and parade around an aircraft carrier with a banner proclaiming: “I got him!”
