Trump doesn’t try. A practical New Yorker he understands division tightens his grip on MAGA. So he uses division as a tool. And it works.

But division sows seeds: People stop seeing their opponents as fellow Americans. They see villains. To crush. Then nothing matters but power.

That sows a crueler seed: When all that matters is power respect for the rule of law flies out the window.

We see that happening every day – it’s human nature at work.

But the lust for power, like the old sins of vanity and greed, brings a reckoning.

A price paid by both sides.
