Democrats naturally are enjoying watching Trump, MAGA and congressional Republicans tear each other apart over the Epstein files.

It’s ugly.

But what’s truly ugly is the Big Ugly Bill that Trump rammed through Congress and nearly every Republican rubber-stamped.

It is the most disastrous, most dangerous and most immoral legislation passed by Congress in more than a century.

It tries to repeal the New Deal.

It turns America’s clock back to the misery, cruelty and gross inequality of the 1890s Gilded Age.

It is political malpractice for Democrats to spend time, money and energy on any other message.

Focus on that ugliness.

Focus on the $1 trillion in tax breaks that go to Musk, Bezos, Zuckerberg and their billionaire buddies.

Focus on 16 million Americans – 600,000-plus in North Carolina – who lose health insurance.

Focus on hungry children who lose food assistance.

Focus on veterans who lose counseling, rehab and health care.

Focus on young people who can’t afford college or a house.

Focus on seniors who can’t pay their bills.

Focus on storm victims who can’t get help.

We lost the White House in 2024 because the Harris campaign lost sight of what Americans need and want today.

They want leaders who will stand up for them against a corrupt political system that makes their lives worse to satisfy the endless greed of a sliver of people at the top of the heap.

Stand up for people, Democrats.

Stay focused on what’s truly ugly.
