A Trial
Suing Fox News for $1.6 billion, to prove Fox knew Trump’s claims ‘the election was stolen’ weren’t true, Dominion Voting Systems released Fox TV stars’ emails and text messages.
Tucker Carlson texted Laura Ingraham: “Sidney Powell is lying by the way. I caught her. It’s insane.”
Ingraham responded: “Sidney is a complete nut. No one will work with her. Ditto with Rudy.”
That proves, according to Dominion, Fox knew Trump’s claims were untrue but put Rudy Giuliani, Sidney Powell on the air saying ‘the election was stolen’ anyway.
It gets worse.
On election night Fox was the first TV network to call Arizona for Joe Biden. Furious, Trump lambasted Fox. Trump supporters turned against Fox. Fox News ratings dropped. Lower ratings mean less money – did Fox put Giuliani, Powell on the air to get its ratings back up?
Whether Fox did it for ratings, or because Carlson, Hannity, etc., supported Trump, Fox aired lies. That did harm. But here’s a harder question: Do you want a reporter deciding what’s true and what’s not true – and only showing you what he calls true?
Or do you want him to tell you what’s being said, lies and all, and decide for yourself?
