Price Blasts Bush

Last week Congressman David Price told us the Bush administration’s anti-terrorism strategy has “made matters worse” and “has simply failed to meet the standard of an intelligent anti-terrorism strategy” (News and Observer; 9-29-06).

Now, will Congressman Price also tell us his strategy to win the war on terrorism?

If he – and his fellow Democrats – have a better plan why don’t they say what it is? One possible answer is politics: They don’t think they need to. After all, they may be saying to themselves, why should we risk a debate on what we would do when we’re winning the election without one?

That’s probably sound political strategy. I guess it all depends on your priorities. Which comes first? Winning the election or telling people how we can win the war on terrorism?
