That’s one less thing to worry about.
The Republican legislature has decided that the ocean will not eventually take over our little place at Nags Head.
Wait until I tell my brother-in-law that on the golf course this weekend.
He’s a Republican himself; after all, he did very well in the oil business as a PhD geologist. But he’s one of those science-based types.
In his retirement, he has been studying the rise of sea levels. He is concerned that, by the time his grandchildren’s children are grown, both his place and ours at the beach could be threatened by rising tides.
Now, thank goodness, the legislature has put a stop to that.
