The Circus is Back
Taunting Trump, Biden quipped, ‘He’s not a good loser – but he is a loser.’ Taunting again, mocking Trump saying ‘injecting bleach’ might stop coronavirus, quipped, ‘I think that’s what he did. That’s why he’s so screwy.’
Biden also said when he took office inflation was 9% – even CNN couldn’t shallow that one, pointed out inflation was 1.4% when Biden took office, didn’t hit 9% until 16 months after he took office.
Meantime, up in Minnesota, Trump told voters with a straight face that he’d won the state in 2020. He didn’t – he’d lost Minnesota to Biden by 233,000 votes.
When I was a child two boys standing on stage in our school auditorium, running for student body president, gave speeches: The first voice smooth, purring, oozed charm; the second, waving his arms, sputtered if he won he’d put hot dog machines in the hallways so students, by pushing a button, could have hotdogs for lunch. That election was a circus.
Today, the circus is back.
