Three years ago this month, they said Joe Biden was too old and too out of touch to be elected President.

Then he won South Carolina, swept the nomination and whipped Trump.

Two years ago today, when he was inaugurated, they said he couldn’t get anything done with a 50-50 Senate and a thin House majority.

Then he passed the most comprehensive progressive legislation since FDR and LBJ – to name a few: job creation, Covid relief, infrastructure spending, lower medicine costs, clean energy, women’s rights, gun safety, respect for marriage, child tax-credit expansion, chip manufacturing and deficit reduction.

For 40 years, Ronald Reagan’s “government is the problem” philosophy held sway in Washington.

In just two years, President Biden proved that government can work – and help people who need it.
