Tea Time Part II
April 16, 2010 - by
The revealing New York Times/CBS poll on the Tea Party demographics turned up two golden nuggets.
One explains their anger. The other exposes their hypocrisy.
The anger: 63 percent of Tea Partiers say Fox is their main news source. Even among Republicans, only 46 percent depend mainly on Fox.
A steady diet of Fox News will make anybody rabid.
The hypocrisy: While they rant against the size and cost of government, the Times noted, “in follow-up interviewers, the Tea Party supporters said they did not want to cut Medicare or Social Security.”
Of course! They want to keep the government’s hands off their government handouts.
