Hectoring Biden, angry, Republican Congressmen roared, Lies – wearing a bright red MAGA cap and a tee-shirt Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene waved both arms above her head. Combative, not Sleepy Joe that night, Biden punched back, punched again, said, ‘I know I may not look like it, but I’ve been around a while’ – then added old age had taught him – ‘to give hate no safe harbor.’

Biden paused, punched Trump, ‘Now some people my age are a different story: An American story of resentment, revenge and retribution.’

At rallies lips set in a thin line Trump tells his supporters, ‘I am your retribution.’ Biden used that line to turn the election into a choice between decency versus revenge.  And that’s a sharp cutting knife.

At the end of the day just a handful of voters are going to decide whether Trump or Biden is elected in November: Will they say, cheering Trump, Yes. Give us our revenge. Or shaking their heads will they say revenge isn’t the answer?
