Really?

If I were a self-respecting Republican, I’d be praying for Mitt Romney or Jon Huntsman to catch fire – or for Paul Ryan to get into the race.
Especially after hearing these gems from Michelle Bachmann and Rick Perry:
Bachmann in South Carolina: “Under President Bachmann, you will see gasoline come down below $2 a gallon again. That will happen.” – Politico.com
Perry to a New Hampshire boy who asked about evolution: “That’s a theory that is out there — and it’s got some gaps in it. In Texas, we teach both creationism and evolution. I figure you’re smart enough to figure out which one is right.” – USA Today
Obviously, the Tea Party has the Republican Party by the throat and in thrall to its know-nothing approach to the world. But nominating either one of these nuts is tantamount to handing President Obama reelection.
