Governor Perdue either has a new public relations guru or, suddenly, she’s started thinking in slogans because she’s firing them off rapid fire.
The other day down in Charlotte she let fly announcing her new education slogan: Ready. Set. Go.
Then she let loose on jobs chirruping our number one priority has to be “Jobs, Jobs, Jobs and more Jobs … I am, and will continue to be, known as the ‘Jobs Governor.’”
(Her record: Under our ‘Jobs Governor’ 487,000 North Carolinians don’t have jobs).
Then Governor Perdue fired both barrels on corruption saying, “We’re fed up with dishonesty. We’re fed up with backroom dealing. We’re tired of business as usual.”
(Her record: Through the Mike Easley scandal, the Tony Rand scandal, the Lanier Cansler no bid contract scandal and the DMV no bid contract scandal Governor Perdue has done nothing – except appoint Rand Chairman of the Paroles Commission).
Finally, the Governor announced her new economic slogan – “Biz Boost” – and declared, “We know tax incentives work, and it’s time to do something for small business.”
(Her record: The Governor’s already done something for small business – she gave a $9 million tax break to one of her son’s clients).
