No Friends at All?

No doubt the Governor can explain to her fellow Democrats why she’s fighting Republican legislators ‘tooth and nail’ but how on earth can she explain to Democrats she’s been bushwhacked from behind by the Obama Administration?
The problem, Obama’s Justice Department says, is the Governor (or rather her minions who run Medicaid for her) prefer cramming mental patients into institutions and rest homes when the same patients could receive better and less expensive care in their own homes.
Now, the Governor’s policy may simply be the result of her putting a nursing home lobbyist in charge of health care, but whatever the reason the Obama folks aren’t buying it – after sending the Attorney General a broadside (including a pretty bleak description of how patients are cared for in those rest homes) they ordered the Governor in no uncertain terms to start moving patients into in-home care.
So, just as she’s gearing up for a tough reelection campaign, the Governor’s battling Phil Berger and Thom Tillis and Republican Legislators on one hand and fighting the Obama Administration on the other.
Bev Perdue must feel like she has no friends at all.
