The billionaire head of Amazon paid $40 million to buy the rights to a film about Trump’s wife – Melania Trump stands to make a $28 million profit.

Of course, politicians using their power to make money is an old story. For years Joe Biden did it to help his son Hunter make money. But we’ve never seen anybody in quite the same league as Trump.

He’s selling $Trump meme coins to make millions – a Chinese billionaire, who’s being investigated by the Securities and Exchange Commission, bought $40 million in meme coins. The SEC stopped its investigation.

The Trump family’s new crypto currency business, World Liberty Financial, just made a $2 billion deal with sheiks in the United Arab Emirates. Trump’s family is also making deals to build luxury hotels and golf club resorts in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, India, Vietnam, and Serbia.

When Trump wanted a new jet to replace Air Force One, Qatar gave him a $400 million jet. Attorney General Pam Bondi, who’d been a lobbyist for Qatar, said that was fine, she saw no conflict of interest.

For years, Trump has said, Elect me, I’ll drain the swamp – but now, unfortunately, it looks like he’s fallen into the swamp.

Could that hurt Trump in the midterm elections? Nothing’s certain in politics. But if you had to go to Las Vegas and place a bet, you’d bet yes.

What happens if Republicans pay a price and Democrat Congressmen and Senators roll into office next election? Will they try to impeach Trump a third time? That’s likely. But we may also get gridlock – which may lead to politics calming down.
