Learning From Mistakes

Raising more money, making stronger ads, Republicans once had an edge over Democrats in elections. But, of course, over time Democrats learned from their mistakes.

Kamala Harris just raised $200 million in one week – no Republican’s done that. For years Republicans’ flashy ads full of melodrama worked but voters have now seen so many of those ads they tune them out after 5 seconds.

In Democrat Josh Stein’s first ad attacking Mark Robinson only one person speaks: Mark Robinson. There’s no melodrama, no dark music – just Robinson talking. Self-righteous, voice sneering Robinson barks, ‘Abortion in this country is not about protecting the lives of mothers – it’s about killing a child because you weren’t responsible to keep your skirt down.’ Even people who are against abortion don’t like him.

Democrats learned from their mistakes.

Republican voters had three choices in the primary last March – they picked Robinson. Can’t they see that was a mistake? And learn from it?
