Jeremiah Wright has
Swift-boated Barack Obama. Obama’s boat
may not be sinking, but he will be foundering if Hillary wins Indiana
and keeps it close in North Carolina.

The North
Carolina Democrats who support Clinton deny her campaign is about race. They (or, at least, most of them) sincerely
don’t want it to be about race. They say
it’s about class, or guns, or age, or gender, or God.

It’s about race.

No matter how you
dress it up, when you strip off the clothes, it’s all about race.

If the polls are
right and Hillary is closing in North
Carolina, the story Tuesday night will be: Obama won,
but he can’t win white votes.

Of course, he’s
getting more white votes than Hillary is getting black votes.

Wednesday morning,
the question may be: Will the Clintons take this
fight to the convention – maybe a floor fight over seating Florida
and Michigan
– the last week in August?

The answer is
yes. With them, it’s all about winning.
