Mark Robinson, who leads the Republican race for governor of North Carolina, said this about the criminal charges against Donald Trump:

“Law and order has been destroyed, and we have a two-tiered justice system that has been weaponized against political enemies, much like it was during Hitler’s reign.”

Have you read the indictment, Mr. Robinson?

A grand jury of Florida citizens indicted Trump on 37 separate charges of violating seven federal laws, including the Espionage Act. The charges include:

• Unauthorized possession of national defense documents and willful refusal to turn them over to law enforcement officials.
• Withholding and concealing documents in a federal investigation.
• Conspiring to obstruct justice.
• Making false statements to hide his continued possession of the materials. (“Lying.”)

Photographs in the indictment show that Trump stored sensitive papers in a Mar-a-Lago’s ballroom and bathroom. (Of course, bathrooms have locks. On the inside.)

Now he’s been caught on tape showing people classified documents he knew he shouldn’t have.

All that doesn’t faze Robinson. Instead, he attacks the system that brings even a former President to justice.

In America today, what is “much like it was during Hitler’s reign” are armed MAGA thugs attacking the Capitol, hunting the halls for high government officials to hang, trying to overturn a legal election and parading around waving swastika flags, giving the Nazi salute and chanting anti-Semitic slogans.

Robinson is silent about that.
