Republican presidential candidates are dissing any voters who are black, brown or – to the uptight candidates – a bit offbeat.

Democratic candidates are dissing any voters from Florida.

The Republicans – at least the Big Four – won’t go to any debate aimed at any special audience. Unless that audience is watching Fox News.

The Democrats are so desperate to placate Iowa and New Hampshire they promised they wouldn’t campaign in Florida, which had the temerity to move its primary up to January.

The nerve. What makes people in Florida believe they should have a choice in picking the President?

Didn’t they learn their lesson in 2000 from the Bush campaign and the U.S. Supreme Court? Don’t they know their votes don’t count?

Of course, there’s a loophole. The Democrats can go to Florida. But only to raise money, not seek votes.

So tell me again: What’s wrong with a national primary?
