The Defense Department turned into the War Department and now every day we’re bombing boats in the Caribbean – killing, Trump says, terrorists and drug smugglers.

Senator Rand Paul asked a straightforward question: Show us proof they’re terrorists.

Trump ignored him.

Paul added a president can’t just, on his own, order the army to kill someone – first he needs Congress to agree they’re terrorists.

Rand Paul’s got a point: It’s time for Trump to lay proof on the table he’s killing terrorists. What if he doesn’t?

Imagine this: Trump bombs a boat in the Caribbean and a week later we find out the people we killed weren’t terrorists.

What happens then?
