Back when Rod Blagojevich ran for governor of Illinois, Obama endorsed him and Trump gave his campaign money.

After Obama got elected president, Governor Blagojevich got caught on tape trying to sell Obama’s Senate seat to the highest bidder. He got impeached, booted out of office. Then got indicted.

Before his trial he starred on Trump’s ‘Reality TV’ show, after he got convicted went to jail.

Trump got elected, commuted his sentence – Blagojevich endorsed Trump in 2020, again in 2024.

Now back in office Trump says Blagojevich “was set up by a lot of bad people, some of the same people I’ve had to deal with.”  And Politico reports Trump’s considering making him ambassador to Serbia – where Trump Org and Jared Kushner are building a multi-million dollar hotel.

Blagojevich tried to sell one politician’s Senate seat, got pardoned by another politician, and may end up an ambassador. Proof anything goes in politics today.
