A reporter asked House Speaker Mike Johnson, “Do you believe Biden’s presidency is God’s will?’

Johnson said he’s a Bible believing Christian and the Bible says God’s sovereign so, yes, Biden’s election was God’s will.

Steve Bannon the MAGA Trumpster erupted on his podcast, ‘Be prepared for your heads to blow up,’ played the video of Johnson, sneered, ‘Yo, dude, he’s an illegitimate president. Have you lost your mind – this election was stolen.’

To Bannon, Biden’s a thief. Period. Nothing else matters.

In the Old Testament, Nebuchadnezzar stormed Jerusalem, sacked Judea, hauled Israelites off to Babylon as slaves. The prophet Jeremiah said Nebuchadnezzar sacking Jerusalem served God’s purpose – it got the Israelites to open their eyes, see the error of their ways in stop worshipping false gods.

Like Jeremiah, Mike Johnson didn’t say Biden’s good or saintly – he said Biden’s in the White House because God wanted him there. But that leaves Johnson, and Christians, facing a tough question: What did we do wrong that ended in God using Biden to get us to open our eyes?
