An old man sitting at home in his apartment at night heard explosions, voices shouting in the hallway; soldiers wearing combat fatigues broke down his door, surrounded him, handcuffed him using zip-ties – only it turned out they weren’t soldiers they were ICE agents.

He told them he was an American citizen – puzzled, asked why they were arresting him? Asked if they had a warrant?

Out to arrest illegal immigrants ICE raided a Chicago apartment building. The problem: Most of the people ICE handcuffed, detained, weren’t illegal immigrants.

ICE led them out of the building, separated mothers from children, locked them into trucks sitting in front of the building – in the wee hours of the morning released the old man. And the other Americans.
