A Mirror: Two Thousand Years Ago
Locked in his prison cell in Rome Saint Paul wrote Timothy: In the last days…men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, slanderers, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure…
Lying in bed the other night reading that I thought, The end times may be closer than I thought.
But it turned out Paul was writing about people he saw back then in Roman times – so the end times may not be around the corner.
But there’s also bad news: Today we have jets, carry telephones in our pockets, surf the internet, but turn on the television at night and you see people who mirror the people Paul saw in Rome two thousand years ago.
