‘Throw ’em Out’

An astute observer poses this question about Elaine Marshall’s new ad: “How do Democrats like David Price and Bob Etheridge feel about her saying it’s time to throw out the Washington politicians?”

Well, for Democrats this year, it’s obviously every man – and woman – for themselves.

Marshall’s ad is simple and inexpensive, which it needs to be, given her huge financial disadvantage. It’s her to camera, saying:

Washington is broken, and Sen. Richard Burr helped break it….Even though Washington politicians like Richard Burr don’t want to hear it, it’s time to throw ’em out.”

Watching it, you wouldn’t know whether she’s a Democrat or Republican, with MoveOn or the Tea Party.

Smart.

If she had more money, she could give Burr a run for his.
