Not long ago, my daughter’s seventh-grade class read George Orwell’s 1984. After she told me about it, I borrowed her copy and reread it.
Winston’s job in the Ministry of Information was to go back into newspaper archives and rewrite stories to fit Big Brother’s current viewpoint.
That’s not very far from what the bureaucrats (Republicans, I remind you) are doing in this Raleigh agency.
