Doubt I'll be able to beat our boy swinney here in posting this :-), but let me pick your post apart anyway.
Okay.....first, you are saying that North Carolina is 48th in education spending. So, let's see, republicans have been "in control" in North Carolina for what now...a couple of months? So, who, exactly, should we NC citizens blame for that lack of spending you're talking about? Nice try, Gary.
Second, just how do you know all these things about how our "quintessential swing voters" think? I'll bet most of those "moderate women living in the suburbs of North Raleigh" know what you're saying is just so much B.S. Unless you've got facts and figures and polls numbers and actual evidence that these women think the way you say they do, why do you post such nonsense?
Third, who, exactly, are those "half a million people" that are going to be blocked from getting Medicaid and health care? Give us the demographics on that, will ya?
It's nice progressive rhetoric. Our state's liberals that would read what you've written here will say "you tell it Gary!!!!". But, it's just more of the same from the left trying to scare people into believing republicans are going to take away things from them government should provide and even hurt the very programs that provide good things government provides in our state to those truly in need that not only deserve taxpayer help but are legally qualified to get it.
As you've said, North Carolina sucks on education compared to other states. We have one of the highest unemployment rates in the nation. Our businesses are failing all over the place. Housing forclosures are astronomical in our state. And, that all happened while democrats were governing our state. Now? We have republicans that our voters put in office to correct those problems. Let's not lose sight of those facts.
Let's give the republicans a chance to change these severe problems our state government and state citizens face. Constant bashing and trashing of republicans isn't going to help our citizens in North Carolina. You and I both know that, Gary. It's just politics for you....regardless the repercussions.
Sad, my friend. Very sad.
