To celebrate Independence Day, Congress should oblige those patriots who attended the “Hands off My Healthcare” rally in Raleigh this weekend: Pass a law making them ineligible – now and in the future – for Medicare.  And give them medals for their sacrifice.

Oh, that’s not what they meant?

No, they want government to keep giving them health care. But not anybody else. And they want other people to keep paying for their health care. They just don’t want to pay for anybody else’s.

As one wise soul said: “Americans want the very best health care that somebody else will pay for.”

And don’t try taking any goodies away from us.

Those kinds of arguments are always a hoot coming from Democrats, the party that is built on the principal of taking from some to give to others. They just can't STAND it when anyone else uses it against them.

For the record, yes, we do need to reform Medicare. It should be means-tested, and it should require individuals to pay more for their own care. But you'll never see any Democrat suggesting that kind of reform.

"coming from Democrats, the party that is built on the principal of taking from some to give to others. They just can't STAND it when anyone else uses it against them."

Carbine, it's also the party of those that are just so absolutely jealous of those that succeed. Those in their own party that do succeed know how to "use" these people as puppets so as to further their own agenda. It's become an art and many within the democratic heiracy have become Mozarts at it.

It's no different than Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton knowing that keeping a racial divide furthers their own profitability and agenda.

Dems will use PPACA to keep the racial groups, the perennial entitlement recievers and those that cheat the government/taxpayers for food stamps and medicaid and free school lunches and just so many other "government" programs in the fold.

Their objective is to grow that "population" in America. When it reaches over 50% of those that vote, conservativism and liberty and self-dependance will no longer be our culture.

It's the goal. Make no mistake about it.
