With the election roaring down the homestretch, last weekend Republican leaders gathered at their convention in Greensboro (to gird for the final battle with Obama) and who did they choose to give voice to the party’s leaders and say to voters, We have the wisdom and character to lead the country through storm and turmoil into a brighter future.

Donald Trump.

They must have been hoping no one outside the party faithful would notice. And that most of the faithful would overlook it.

Yeah, and you know what....I'm betting there wasn't an empty seat in the house when Trump spoke. Ya GOTTA know that was a must-see part of being at the convention.

Sad part is, it tells us exactly what the NCGOP has come to, doesn't it? I'd LOVE to know if Trump charged a "speakers fee" and how much that was.

Best thing republicans can do until the Ridiculous Raleigh Rendition that is running the NCGOP is changed is to put all of your efforts and resources into individual campaigns that mean something to us. Just an opinion, and I know that we desperately need a strong NCGOP, don't get me wrong. But, it's just too much "politics as usual" now and too many people are too tied up in securing power and influence there as far as I'm concerned.
