Nebraska establishment candidate Bruning's position on Eric Holder has motivated me to send another check to the conservative candidate, Stenberg. The campaign website is:

The Club for Growth has just joined the Senate Conservatives Fund in endorsing Stenburg. The Senate Conservatives Fund is already airing its second TV ad as an independent expenditure for Stenburg. SCF is also on the air in Texas with TV ads for Ted Cruz. |

If we are going to save the country, we need a conservative US Senate. There is no Senate race in North Carolina this year. When Burr comes up again, I will be VERY primed to give his conservative primary challenger some money, but that is not for another four years. I am also very inclined to help a conservative (but not an establishment drone) beat Hagen in two years.
I have not forgotten NC, and already have over four figures in 2012 NC races. From some very disturbing info in a now vanished thread on TAP, I am inclined to write a check soon in another NC primary race. |

The Utah caucuses for the Senate nomination were yesterday. The Hatch forces fought harder than Bennett did two years ago, but reports I have heard indicate that a Hatch / Liljenquist primary is likely. A clean takedown of Hatch like happened with Bennett would be a better result, but he can be taken in a primary, too. It is a three way race and it takes 60% at the state convention to win the nomination outright without a primary. Otherwise, the top two advance to a primary. In his early days, Hatch was a conservative stalwart, but in recent years, he has constantly been ''reaching across the aisle'' and selling out on principle. After the ousting of Bennett, he did get religion for the last two years, but that is just a show to try to get the nomination again. |

Well it turns out that Eric Holder is not the only far leftist that Bruning endorsed for positions at Obama's Dept. of InJustice:

We need to get behind Stenburg in the primary. Polls show this primary close and Nebraska is a state we should take away from the Democrats in November. |

Very interesting development in Indiana!
Lugar's local board of elections has ruled that he is not a legally registered voter and cannot vote in the primary! The question I have not seen raised is, if he is not a lawful voter in Indiana, how can he remain a valid candidate in the primary?
Lugar has kept his voter registration, drivers license, etc. address at that of a house that he sold twenty years ago, and he neither owns nor rents a residence within Indiana. The current owners of that house said they had no idea he was claiming it as his residence.
Lugar's lack of connection with the voters back home has been an issue in the primary, and this ought to really underscore that issue, at minimum. Hopefully, it will make him ineligible to continue running. |

Man...I gotta give ya credit R. You're one adamant poster here...especially about races all around our country. I learn so much from what you post. This is just a "thanks" post. Appreciate seeing your presentations. I don't get all that involved in "other" state's races and really kinda just stay within NC for my focus, and then mostly within my own county/state representative district...and, of course, the presidential race. You donate outside that realm...I basically have, so far, forwarded checks to locals.
Good deal, my man. |

One feature of the key Senate primaries that maybe is not too surprising is that the RINO's are ducking debates with the conservatives. The most duckings is probably held by Dewhurst in Texas.
But the next Senate debate, in the Wisconsin race, is no different as RINO Tommy Thompson, who endorsed Obamacare when it was going through Congress, is ducking that debate, while all the others, including conservative former Congressman Mark Neuman, are participating:

What is this? Rand Paul getting chummy with Mitch McCondom?
http://thehill.com/homenews/campaig...reelection
I wouldn't read too much into it, other than playing nice to get as much leverage in Tampa as possible. R, did you follow his primary? There's about as much bad blood between these two as could be between two people of the same party. This "playing nice" bit only goes as far as will be advantageous to both of them politically. Let's see what they're saying after Tampa and what happens there. Well worth the watch since Romney isn't even halfway to the nomination yet.

I certainly hope you are right. I want Rand to find us a challenger to beat McConnell's worthless ass in the primary, and am ready to send some $$$$ to help do so.

I've been trying to convince North Carolinians to save their political-donation bucks for people in our own state because whether anyone knows it or not, we're not assured of keeping the legislature after this year's election. But, gotta say, R....I just happen to have a dollar or two I'd be willing to send along to a strong someone to challenge McCondum.

Interesting endorsement in Indiana - the NRA, which usually supports incumbents, especially Republican incumbents, has endorsed conservative Indiana US Senate challenger Richard Mourdock against incumbent squish Sen. Richard Lugar. |
